Whether you are seeking fuller, more youthful lips, enhancement of the cheekbone (malar) areas, or smoothing of the lines around the mouth, Dr. DiBello will advise you as to how best to meet your goals with Hyaluronic Acid Facial Dermal Fillers. Currently Juvederm Volbella XC and Juvederm Ultra XC are approved for injection in the lips for fullness, while Juvederm Volbella XC is additionally approved for smoothing fine upper lip lines (i.e. smoker’s lines) and other fine peri-oral lines. Juvederm Voluma XC is approved for injection in the malar areas to provide/restore fullness in the cheekbones. In addition to the tried-and-true fillers for the nasolabial folds and marionette lines around the mouth: Juvederm Ultra XC and Juvederm Ultra Plus XC, there is the newly approved, and potentially longer-lasting peri-oral filler, Juvederm Vollure XC. All of these injections are performed personally by Dr. DiBello after he consults with you. Prior to your injections (which can be done at the time of your consultation), you should refrain from taking anti inflammatory medications (Advil, Motrin, Alleve, Aspirin, etc.) unless they are necessary for your health, as they increase the risk of bruising.
